# TCom - Terminal Compositor

A terminal compositor / multiplexer and sessionizer.

## Goals

* Multiplex terminals - splits, screens, popups.
* Session persistence - auto-disowning server which stays alive unless all panes are intentionally closed.
* Work out of the box with minimal configuration with full colors, etc.
* Lowest possible overhead.
* Sane keybindings (not Ctrl+B for leader!).
* Unix support - Linux, BSD, macOS.

## Potential goals

* Kakoune-like configuration syntax and shell expansions.
* Alternative: minimal static configuration (probably kdl).
* Tmux and screen switches on the CLI to emulate those programs (TERM, keybindings, etc).

## Non-goals

* Eye candy - we are here to work, not play.
* Any web connectivity whatsoever.
* Windows support.
